AD Scientific Index is the only system that provides subject-based rankings by analyzing the performance of 24.661 institutions across 13 main academic fields. These rankings evaluate universities’ strengths and weaknesses in specific disciplines, independent of their overall rankings. The global comparisons provided for each field serve as valuable benchmarks for: • Equivalency and quality assessments • Credit/transfer applications • Discipline-specific institutional comparisons.

Two newly introduced categories — Arts and Humanities University Rankings and Social Sciences and Humanities University Rankings — focus exclusively on these areas, excluding medicine, engineering, and natural sciences.

Note: These rankings are currently in Beta version and updated in near real-time. The "Others" category includes 1.131.752 profiles of researchers whose fields are either not yet identified or are still being edited. Therefore, subject rankings may evolve over time. Importantly, these rankings reflect the presence of scientists in a particular field, not whether the institution has a dedicated faculty or department for that subject.
